Leslie Ferris Yerger is a Tedx speaker, first time author of Probably Benign, and a women’s advocate with a laser focused mission. Leslie was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer in November 2017 after an ‘all clear’ mammogram and ultrasound, experiencing first hand the failings of our current breast cancer screening technologies. She is now determined to advance the next generation in breast cancer screening, so that her story does not become your story.
Armed with humor and wisdom, courage and grace, knowledge and scientific data, Leslie speaks and writes in order to empower women everywhere to ask, learn, insist, and persist in order to get the breast cancer screening they so very much deserve.
Leslies wants every woman to have access to the breast cancer screening that is right for them. One in eight women are diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, if found early it has a positive prognosis. It’s a lofty goal, but attainable!
